Introducing: Damien Lamar's Weekly Email
This is Damien’s Weekly Newsletter, a newsletter about 7 Things I Think Are Worth Sharing.
Hey! What’s Jazzin’?
I know… it seems like I dropped off the Planet. Trust me. I haven’t — but there’s a good reason I’ve been quiet. More on that later. Many of you haven’t heard from me in quite some time, so I thought it would be a neat idea to communicate more frequently with you over the next 52 weeks and beyond! I hope you like this new format! 😁😉
This way, you can stay in touch with me (since I’m no longer on Facebook or META, whatever they’re calling themselves these days.) I’ve decided to release a simplified weekly email with you! As a subscriber, you’ll get a list of 7 things I think are worth sharing each week. Feel free to reply directly to me, as I solely manage my domain, email, and other social media accounts. I will personally respond to you!
Let’s get the party started!🥳 January 30th, marked another year around the sun for me! It feels SO GOOD to be 46 and still “in the land of the living” in this worldwide collective changing we are facing, y’all! The year 2021 was a big one for me. I not only left Florida and relocated 🚚to New Hampshire but also rebranded and let go of some things that just couldn't follow along on this journey with me — all of which, I mentioned in a recent blog post appropriate titled:My 365 Whirlwind into Radical Acceptance. PS - Warning: It’s quite telling, yet it writing it was so liberating and it felt amazing to get all that off my heart/chest.
In the fall, I started a fantastic career in the financial services industry; though, I am still moonlighting. Since I rebranded, the business has started to pick up. Check out the new business website and contact me if you want to collaborate on a project or know someone who could benefit from my services.
If you didn’t know, I love science fiction, time travel, and history and have been heavily inspired by many things over the last six months. I began writing and I’m proud to say that I’m five chapters into my historical fiction series, now called Time Traveler’s Digest. I had planned to release an 11-episode audio drama podcast. Still, life happened, and I’m postponing its release until I can get the website redesigned and have its official launch later this summer, so I have an opportunity to market it accordingly.
I haven’t been on stage or performed publicly since May, but I am still in the business of making music. Although I already released a visualizer for LANIAKEA, my first single, and will be releasing the single on February 11th from the re-release of ‘The New Adventures of ProfessorClock’ as it is now officially four complete volumes or a QUADRILOGY.
For your music tasters and lovers of “ear candy,”: I will also be doing a monthly Taste Test radio show beginning in March with a complete rebrand. So keep your eyes out for that, too!
In my December blog post, I mentioned a few books I had the opportunity to read last summer. I recently shared a quote on TikTok (which has now grown to a whopping 31,000 followers!), and surprisingly, the video went viral! Thanks to my friend Traci Williams for mailing me “The Game of Life and How to Play It,” written in 1925 by Frances Scovel Shinn. I have a few more of her selections on the way and can’t wait to dive into those.
Speaking of books, I also felt compelled to write (as I took a break from my other stuff); and released my first eBook and digital short! “The Shift of the Ages: An Essay on Enlightenment and Awakening.” It’s now available solely through my website. You’ll find a graphically-designed PDF so you can read along with me as I narrate the audio.
Whew, that was a lot! I know. 🙄😉 I appreciate you taking the time to read it all, and most of all, I am grateful for your support and patronage over the years! The best way to support my work is to buy my music, hire me for digital content creation or voice-over work, or become a paid subscriber.
🌚Happy New (and Black Moon)! Let’s keep creating an adventure of a lifetime.
Until then, See you next week!
Damien Lamar
